Word of the Week December 21, 2009

Meaning

It’s that time of the year again, when hustle and hoopla overwhelm the heart of the holidays. Long lines and traffic jams hardly inspire heavenly peace, and wish lists of hard to find items make me downright Grinchish.

Word of the Week November 30, 2009

Gluttony

Do you think she’s going to be more concerned with indulging herself, or with making smart choices? Can you serve her a smart salad bar instead of a smorgasbord of sugary treats? Do you have to change your product selection to do this, or just change the way you talk about it?

Word of the Week November 23, 2009

Thanks

Why is it so hard to be thankful? Thanking Ms. Jones is a given. You probably have pre-printed “Thank you for your patronage” postcards but is thanking your staff a given?

Word of the Week November 16, 2009

Distracted

Do you have any convenient interruptions? Ms. Jones won’t wait around while we wile away the hours. She’ll go find herself a company who’s willing to do the hard stuff.

Word of the Week November 3, 2009

WRONG

Have you ever fired a customer? There’s a time to decide you aren’t going to be pushed around like a kid on the playground and stand up to a bully Ms. Jones. There’s also a time to give in to unreasonable demands just to keep the peace.

Word of the Week October 26, 2009

FOREARMED

This Ms. Jones does not like problems, especially those without answers. What’s more, I do not like it when I discover a problem and have to go sleuthing for clues. What’s this charge on my bill? When will the repairman arrive? Where is the product you said would be here last week? How much is this going to cost?

Reassurance

Ms. Jones comes to your store with a problem. She’s looking forward to solving it, but she knows it comes with a price. She’s investing time, money and the next dozen years of living with your solution. How do you reassure her that she’s made the right choice?

Let’s create something great!

Looking for a company that can help your local furniture store thrive? Just saying hi? Whatever, the reason. Let’s talk about where you are, and where you want to be.

We mean it when we say, “We love it when you succeed.” Our entire business depends on achieving the best possible results with each campaign for every single client.
